thanks to a tip from friends, we watched S3 of robinson's absurdist comedy sketch show. i had seen earlier seasons, but the latest is even more absurd, and also features some excellent celeb cameos (like THE BEAR's ayo edebiri). not every sketch lands for me but i applaud the creativity!

this 2019 documentary features famous climbers you've possibly seen in other documentaries -- alex honnold of FREE SOLO, and tommy caldwell of DAWN WALL. also featured are some incredible women, including the late hilaree nelson. the film is a philosophical statement on extreme adventure - why humans do it, despite the risks - in adventurers' own words.
